Wobbler
for babies and toddlers from 6 to 18 months
Building on the success of the production Rockaby based on an Arabic lullaby, Frisse Oren has developed a new music theatre production for very small children, this time inspired by the music of the Taiwanese percussionist Yung-Tuan Ku. Yung-Tuan Ku’s compositions have their roots in Asia and have, like her, travelled far. They stimulate the imagination and make you reminisce, with a smile, about places you may never have actually visited.
Wobbler is a sensitive, musical experience for children from 6 to 18 months and their parents and/or grandparents performed by Rudi van Hest (clarinets), Yung-Tuan Ku (percussion and song) and Sjoerd Pauw (trumpet), all members of the Frisse Oren collective.
In Wobbler, a sensory music theatre production specially for babies from 6 to 18 months and their parents and/or grandparents, Frisse Oren takes young children on a journey of discovery to the wonderful world of gravity: a musical ode to rolling around, somersaults, falling over topsy-turvy and springing back. A percussionist, a clarinettist and a trumpet player engage in a musical encounter with each other, the young audience and their parents in a safe and soft environment. Wobbler is both intimate and open: you can wobble around for a bit, sway to the music or snooze.
