Yung-Tuan Ku – percussie

Born in 1988 in Taipei, Taiwan. Yung-Tuan received her percussion bachelor in National Taiwan Normal University in 2010 and completed her percussion master study in Conservatorium van Amsterdam with “Cum Laude” in June 2015.

She is the prize winner of International Percussion Competition Luxembourg 2012, Tromp Percussion competition 2014, AHK Eindwerkprijs 2015, scholarship and support from Jan Pustjens Foundation and Stichting Eigen Muziekinstrument in 2016, Silbersee Spritzl maker in 2019/20.

Since 2011 she is based in Amsterdam. She is active in different chamber music groups and music theater projects. She is an artist member of Studio MAPA Nederland and Platform for Artist Nederland Taiwan. Also part of the Moving strings collectives, improvisation trio Hupata and frequently collaborate with Silbersee. She co-creates and performs Geel (2+) with Mimewave/stichting 2ater. The production is currently touring in the Netherlands, Belgium, China, and was selected for IPAY showcase 2021(International association of performing arts for youth) and NOW festival Shanghai China 2020.
